our laboratory

In our laboratory, we study and develop exercise prescription models in order to improve health, psychological, and performance outcomes. We focus on personalized approaches that emphasize individual abilities and preferences. Currently, we are investigating if trainees can learn how to regulate the intensity of exercise based on their subjective experiences (e.g., perception of effort), and the effects of providing trainees with certain choices regarding the structure of the training sessions (e.g., selecting the number of repetitions). We implement a multi-disciplinary approach by drawing from a range of fields, including exercise physiology, psychology, and motor learning.
